About this course

Marketing measurement is shrinking and skewing: consent refusals, Safari and Firefox protections, Apple's tracking prompt, ad blockers and cross-device journeys all hide conversions — even though Chrome kept third-party cookies. This advanced course shows you how to measure accurately and lawfully. You will map the privacy laws that matter (GDPR and ePrivacy, the UK's Data (Use and Access) Act, US state laws and GPC, Saudi PDPL, UAE PDPL), configure a CMP with IAB TCF 2.3 and GPP where needed, and implement Google Consent Mode v2 correctly. You will set up GA4 for consent and the Measurement Protocol, build a server-side tagging layer with server-side GTM or Google tag gateway, and implement Meta Conversions API, Google enhanced conversions and offline imports, TikTok Events API and LinkedIn Conversions API with deduplication. You finish with data quality, automated QA, first-party data strategy, modeled measurement and clean rooms, and a capstone design document.

What you will learn

  • Explain how consent, browsers, ATT and blockers affect measurement in 2026, and the laws that govern it by region
  • Configure a CMP and Google Consent Mode v2 (basic or advanced) with region-specific defaults
  • Build server-side tagging with server-side GTM or Google tag gateway, enforcing consent and minimization
  • Implement Meta CAPI, Google enhanced conversions and offline imports, TikTok Events API and LinkedIn CAPI
  • Design tracking plans and event IDs that deduplicate, and automate consent QA and monitoring
  • Use first-party data, modeled measurement and clean rooms honestly and lawfully
  • Produce a Measurement Design Document for a consent-compliant server-side setup

Course content

The tracking landscape and privacy law

What changed with cookies, browsers and platforms, and the laws that govern measurement in the EU, UK, US, KSA and UAE.

Consent management and Google Consent Mode

CMPs, IAB TCF 2.3 and GPP, lawful banner design, and a correct Consent Mode v2 implementation.

GA4 and server-side tagging

Configure GA4 for consent and modeling, send server events with the Measurement Protocol, and build a server-side tagging layer.

Conversion APIs: Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn

Implement server-side conversion feeds with correct hashing, click IDs, deduplication and consent for each major platform.

Data quality, deduplication and QA

Design tracking plans and event IDs that deduplicate everywhere, validate events in code, and test consent behavior automatically.

First-party data, modeling and clean rooms

Build durable first-party data through value exchanges, and use modeled measurement and clean rooms honestly.

Capstone: consent-compliant server-side setup

Design and document a complete, consent-compliant, server-side measurement setup ready for implementation.

Certificate: Certified Privacy-First Measurement Specialist

The holder can design and implement accurate, consent-compliant marketing measurement. They configure consent management and Google Consent Mode v2 by region, build server-side tagging, implement conversion APIs for Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn with correct hashing and deduplication, automate consent QA and monitoring, and apply first-party data, modeled measurement and clean rooms within GDPR, UK, US state, KSA and UAE privacy rules.
