Chapters

One strong idea, many formats

Repurposing is where AI earns its keep for content teams: one well-researched piece (a webinar, a long video, a customer interview, a report) becomes a week of channel-native content. SEO drafting is related but different: you're writing to answer what real people search for, and search engines reward helpful, original content, not volume.

The repurposing chain

Work in steps so you stay in control:

STEP 1 - Extract (from the transcript or document)
List the 7 most useful, specific points in this [transcript], in the speaker's words where possible,
with timestamps. Flag any claim that would need a source before publishing.

You choose the three strongest points.

STEP 2 - Adapt (inside your brand project)
Using points [2, 4, 6] only, create:
a) 3 short-video scripts (under 45 seconds, hook in the first line, one idea each)
b) 1 LinkedIn post (under 200 words, first line works without "see more")
c) 1 carousel (7 slides, one idea per slide, slide 1 is the hook)
d) 1 newsletter section (about 200 words, one clear link)
Don't add advice or facts beyond the transcript. End with "Facts to verify".
STEP 3 - Localize and polish (per market)
Adapt (b) for our UAE audience: American English, local examples, AED where prices appear.
List every change.

SEO drafts that deserve to rank

Google's guidance is that content is judged on quality and helpfulness, however it's produced; mass-producing pages mainly to manipulate rankings violates its spam policies (the "scaled content abuse" policy). So use AI to help you write one great page, not a hundred thin ones.

The SEO drafting workflow:

  1. Intent first. "For the search 'how to choose a halal meal-prep service in Dubai', what is the searcher trying to do, what questions do they have, and what would a genuinely complete answer include?"
  2. Outline with your expertise. Ask for an outline, then add what only you know: your process, prices, photos, customer stories, local details.
  3. Draft section by section from your notes, with [CHECK] for facts.
  4. Add evidence of experience. Real examples, original photos, named author with credentials, dates.
  5. Metadata: "Suggest 5 title tags under 60 characters and 3 meta descriptions under 155 characters." Count them yourself.
  6. Human edit and fact-check, then publish and measure.

Hands-on: one webinar into a week of content

Pick a recent webinar, podcast or long video with a transcript.

Before: you post the replay link three times with "Missed it? Watch now!"

After: Monday, a 40-second clip script built on the webinar's most surprising point; Tuesday, a LinkedIn post with a first line that stands alone; Wednesday, a 7-slide carousel; Thursday, a newsletter section; Friday, an SEO article outline for the question attendees asked most, with your own examples added. Each asset quotes the speaker accurately and carries any needed disclosure.

Worked example (illustrative)

Bilal, marketing lead at an accounting software company in Lahore, runs a monthly webinar for small business owners. His repurposing chain turns each 50-minute session into 12 assets. The "Facts to verify" line catches a tax threshold the speaker mentioned from memory; Bilal checks it against the official source and corrects it before publishing. The SEO article built from the most-asked question ("Do I need to register for sales tax as a freelancer?") includes the company's accountant as named author and links to the official guidance.

A per-asset checklist before scheduling

Save this checklist in your brand project and ask the assistant to append it to every repurposing set, so review becomes a habit rather than an afterthought.

Pitfalls

  • Repurposing without choosing: posting all seven points everywhere dilutes the message.
  • Letting drafts add advice the speaker never gave.
  • Publishing AI-drafted SEO pages with no original expertise, examples or fact-checking.
  • Trusting AI character counts for titles and meta descriptions.

How to measure success

Track per-asset performance by format (saves, shares, clicks), time spent per repurposed set, and for SEO pages, impressions, clicks and engagement in your search console and analytics over 8 to 12 weeks.

Key takeaways

  • Repurpose in steps: extract the best points, choose, adapt per channel, then localize and polish.
  • Keep drafts to what the source actually says and end with 'Facts to verify'.
  • For SEO, start from search intent and add your own expertise, examples and evidence; one great page beats many thin ones.
  • Mass-producing pages to manipulate rankings violates search spam policies; count title and meta lengths yourself.

Check your understanding

Quick questions to lock in the lesson. They don’t count towards your certificate.

  1. Which approach best fits search engines' guidance on AI-assisted content?
  2. In a repurposing chain, why extract and choose points before drafting?

Put it into practice

Run the repurposing chain on one webinar, podcast or long video, schedule a week of assets, and outline one SEO article with your own examples.
